St. Apollonia Dental, formally Dental Associates of Troy, was established in 1983. In January 2004, our practice moved from Troy to our new modern facility in Sterling Heights. We renamed our practice at that time to St. Apollonia Dental in honor of the Patron Saint of Dentistry. Here at St. Apollonia Dental, we offer state of the art technology and techniques in a warm, clean, and family-friendly office. Patient comfort and pain free delivery are top priorities, as is prompt service. We know your time is valuable and we strive to stay on time and not keep our patients waiting.

Most dental procedures can be completed under one roof. We welcome all patients including children, adults, geriatrics, and patients with disabilities. In short, our mission is to provide excellent service in a cheerful, honest and painless environment.

Meet the team

Charles Pearson, DDS

Dr. Charles Pearson is a graduate of the University of Detroit School of Dentistry, Class of 1982. He is fully accredited and has over 40 years of private practice experience. He is well versed in multiple dental procedures and has now added dental implants to his treatment options. Dr. Pearson has an impeccable reputation amongst his peers and has been voted “Top Dentist” many years running.

Dr. Pearson enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and gardening in his spare time.

Yvonne Pearson, DDS

Dr. Yvonne Pearson is also a graduate of the University of Detroit School of Dentistry and Class of 1982. She is a conscientious practitioner with a caring nature that so many patients, including special needs, find comforting. Dr. Yvonne is also our teeth-whitening specialist at the office.

Lori Mitschke, RDH

Lori is a graduate of Baker College School of Dental Hygiene, Class of 1999. She joined our practice shortly thereafter and has proved herself invaluable. She is known for her gentle touch and thorough examinations. Our patients love her professionalism, genuine interest in their welfare, and her kindness.

Nannette Dehenau

Nannette is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dental Hygiene, Class of 1981. Her role at St. Apollonia Dental is Office Manager. She is a valuable asset to the office with her dental background and knowledge. A true people person, she will make you feel right at home.

Rebecca Carline

Rebecca joined our team in 2021. After a very brief interview, we knew she was the right fit for our team. Rebecca is a jack-of-all-trades working primarily at the front desk, but also doubling as Dr. Yvonne Pearson’s dental assistant. She has a cheerful and pleasant disposition and has been a terrific asset since joining us.

Martina Hermez

Martina is Dr. Charles Pearson’s primary dental and surgical assistant. She emigrated from Germany in 2016 where she worked as a surgeon’s assistant at a busy implant and oral surgery clinic. She joined our staff in 2021 and is a true asset and welcome addition to the practice.

Catherine Pearson, RN

Catherine has been working at St. Apollonia since 2011. Dr. Pearson’s primary assistant for many years, Catherine is now a practicing nurse although she maintains her ties to the practice in an ancillary role. She is with us in spirit when not in person.
