What Are My Options for Replacing a Single Missing Tooth?

In this video, Dr. Charles Pearson explains the different options available for replacing a single missing tooth and why the best solution depends on the tooth’s location and function.

Replacing a single missing tooth is one of the most common procedures I perform. For a front tooth where aesthetics are critical, the process is complex and may involve gum tissue grafting and ensuring bone adequacy; this can cost around $6,000 to ensure it looks perfectly natural.

In contrast, if the missing tooth is in a narrow arch with low chewing force, it may be a prime candidate for a mini-implant, which costs around $2,800. However, for chewing teeth like molars that take a lot of force, I prefer conventional implants 90% of the time. These run approximately $4,200 per tooth and require more healing time, but they ensure the job is done right so it doesn’t have to be redone.
