How Much Do Dental Implants Cost?
In this video, Dr. Charles Pearson explains the different factors that affect dental implant cost and why treatment options can vary so widely in price.
That is a good question. It’s not a simple one to answer because it depends, but I’m not going to try to skirt the issue. For example, if we’re going to do one tooth with a mini dental implant, it’s going to cost you $1,400 to have the implant placed and another $1,400 to have the crown placed.
If we’re doing multiple teeth, there is an economy of scale built in. We’re not going to charge $1,400 for each mini-implant because we’re doing several at a time; we can offer you savings along those lines. That’s where it gets a little tricky because it depends on how many we do and what type of restoration we’re going to put on. Are we doing a bridge or a “roundhouse”? A roundhouse is where you take your dentures and throw them in the garbage. We’re going to make you a full set of implant-supported teeth that you don’t have to take out, giving you a second lease on life. Those are the most expensive thing I do, and they run around $20,000 per jaw, everything included.
There are other treatment options that fall somewhere in between. A more common one is semi-removable dentures, which run between $10,000 and $12,000. Although it’s not cheap, if we take it into the context of what it can do for you, and with the friendly financing available here at St. Apollonia, you can defer those costs over a period of up to five years. When you look at it from that standpoint, why not get confidence, security, better nutrition, and a beautiful smile?
