How Long Does the Dental Implant Procedure Take?

In this video, Dr. Charles Pearson explains how long the dental implant procedure actually takes and why most of the appointment is not spent placing the implant itself.

“Dr. Pearson, how long does the appointment take to put the implant in?” Well, assuming we are only going to do one, I’ll use that as an example. We are going to spend way more time getting you seated, making sure you’re comfortable, getting ourselves gowned up in sterile attire, and making sure you’re numb.

I like to make sure you’re good, numb, and comfortable. That takes up the majority of the time, along with telling you how to take care of things as you leave. The actual placement of the mini-implants takes roughly five minutes, if that.

If you or someone you love is struggling with missing teeth or loose dentures, contact Dr. Charles Pearson at St. Apollonia Dental in Sterling Heights, MI, for a free consultation to learn how our dental implant treatments can enhance your smile, improve your function, and restore your self-confidence.
