What If I Don’t Have Enough Bone for a Dental Implant?
In this video, Dr. Charles Pearson explains what mini dental implants are and how they differ from traditional implants in size, placement protocol, and cost.
There are some patients who come into my practice having visited other implant clinics and been told they didn’t have adequate bone for implants. In a conventional implant, you need a certain width of bone. There’s the length of the bone, how high it is, and how wide it is. If the problem is the width of the bone, which it usually is, then we can negate that by using mini dental implants. Their very nature is narrow, which makes them a fantastic option. So, people who may not be able to have conventional implants may be good candidates for minis. At your free consultation, we can evaluate that usually at a glance. Very seldom is it the case that we can’t do something for you.
If you or someone you love is struggling with missing teeth or loose dentures, contact Dr. Charles Pearson at St. Apollonia Dental in Sterling Heights, MI, for a free consultation to learn how our dental implant treatments can enhance your smile, improve your function, and restore your self-confidence.
