What Issues Can Dental Implants Correct?
In this video, Dr. Charles Pearson explains the different issues dental implants can correct, from replacing single teeth to stabilizing loose dentures.
Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth, but their utility goes beyond that. We can replace a single missing tooth with an implant and a crown, or we can replace multiple teeth using implant-supported bridges.
Another area where they are particularly effective is in supporting a complete denture so it no longer moves, falls out, or causes difficulty with speaking and chewing. Mini-implants are phenomenal for this; they are painless to place and very comfortable. Unlike the “All-on-4” method, where one failure can ruin the entire case, mini-implants allow us to use multiple implants to support the denture. This provides “spare tires,” so if one should happen to fail, the remaining implants still do the job.
If you or someone you love is struggling with missing teeth or loose dentures, contact Dr. Charles Pearson at St. Apollonia Dental in Sterling Heights, MI, for a free consultation to learn how our dental implant treatments can enhance your smile, improve your function, and restore your self-confidence.
