Does Getting a Dental Implant Hurt?
In this video, Dr. Charles Pearson explains why getting a mini dental implant is often far less painful than many patients expect.
You may wonder if these dental implants hurt afterward. It sounds pretty painful. In my experience, that is absolutely not the case. I have placed hundreds of these now, and we always follow up with the patient either the night of the surgery or the following morning, or sometimes both, to see how they are doing. Most of them find that taking an aspirin or Tylenol is adequate for the discomfort. To be honest, I think a lot of that discomfort is just from the anesthetic injections. No, mini-implants are about the least painful thing that I do.
