What Is a Dental Bridge?
In this video, Dr. Charles Pearson explains what a dental bridge is and how it replaces missing teeth by connecting restorations to the surrounding teeth.
What is a dental bridge as opposed to a crown? A dental bridge is replacing a missing tooth by putting crowns on the two teeth next to it, such as that. We get a crown here, a crown here, and then a replacement or a dummy tooth that’s soldered in the middle or is one piece with the adjacent teeth. It is cemented in place and stays in place. It has been around for years and years and years and is still a highly successful treatment, assuming we have good teeth to hook it onto.
