The Implant Denture Process Explained Step by Step

In this video, Dr. Charles Pearson explains what mini dental implants are and how they differ from traditional implants in size, placement protocol, and cost.

What’s the process? I want to do something about my teeth, Dr. Pearson. Step one is to call the office and make an appointment for your free consultation. It all starts there. We can see what we’re dealing with (the raw materials) and get your wishes and expectations. We’ll give you some options and put the pieces of the puzzle together.

The success of the treatment itself hinges largely on the planning: what to use, where to use it, and what results you are looking for. We try to get most of that done in a consultation appointment. From there, it’s usually just a matter of placing implants. I talk about the minis a lot because we’re geared toward that right now, but placing mini-implants goes by quickly and painlessly, and can be accomplished in one appointment. Depending on whatever else we’re going to do, whether a full denture, a roundhouse bridge, or whatever, the number of appointments varies.

Once we know what we’re dealing with, we can let you know how many appointments are needed and how long they will be. We can also evaluate you for sedation if you should need it to make your experience a pleasant one.
