What Types of Dental Bridges Does St. Apollonia Offer?
In this video, Dr. Charles Pearson explains what mini dental implants are and how they differ from traditional implants in size, placement protocol, and cost.
A dental bridge fills a gap in your dental arch where teeth are missing. This can be done with a fixed bridge that is cemented in place or with removable bridges, also known as partial dentures. A more economical version of a removable bridge is called a “flipper.”
Alternatively, an implant is often a better option because it replaces missing teeth without having to cut down the healthy teeth next to the gap. If you have no teeth on either side of a gap to hook a bridge to, we use conventional implants. Because they are bigger and stronger, they can support the load of two missing teeth with only two implants, effectively bridging the gap with a cemented restoration.
